Modo and the Vancouver Mural Festival
20 Years of Supporting the Arts
Keep your eyes peeled for our new Modo & Vancouver Mural festival cargo van on the street. We guarantee the “anniversary van” is an easy one to spot!
Thanks to our partner, Vancouver Mural Festival, we’ve enlisted one of their featured artists, Andrew Tavukciyan,to create a custom cargo van decal for our newest Ram ProMaster. Next time you need a Modo with some extra space, book our mural van #999 at Lougheed SkyTrain and show your support of the local arts community!
If you’d like to see more work of Andrew and check out his matching mural of the 2017 festival, visit Watson Street and East Broadway! If you book the new Modo cargo van, share a picture with the van on social media using #modoeverywhere and tag Modo to enter for a $100 driving time gift certificate.
“I love doing vinyl wraps like this, it’s always an interesting and rewarding challenge dealing with different templates and forms. This van decal is definitely the largest one I’ve done, which offered a lot of freedom in regards to scaling and the composition. I was able to treat this like a large painting or mural without having to worry too much about where everything was going, like I’ve had to do in the past with more restricting forms.”
– Andrew Tavukciyan on his design.
Special thanks thanks to our jury (and fellow Modo) members: Esther Rausenberg (Eastside Culture Crawl), Adrian Crook (Modo Ambassador, 5 Kids 1 Condo), Selena McLachlan (Modo), Brent Granby (Modo Member, artist at Parker Street Studios), Tara Flynn (DOXA) and Sam Snobelen (Out on Screen)!
