Other things to note:
- Each booking includes 150km per 24-hour day or portion. Additional kms cost 28¢ each.
- Premium vehicles carry a surcharge of $3 per hour and 20¢ per km (over 150km per day).
- For an additional $3 per day, you can make block bookings.
- All our rates include insurance, fuel, cleaning, maintenance, roadside assistance, Lower Mainland toll bridges, and permit-only and resident-only parking in the City of Vancouver.
deposit
We require a $500 refundable deposit for the first five registered drivers in your organization and an additional $500 refundable deposit for the next 20 drivers. For every 25 drivers after that, we will need an additional $1,000 refundable deposit.

$20 registration for each driver.
fuel surcharge for business members
Modo's fuel surcharge addresses unpredictable gas prices while keeping rates stable and fair. The surcharge is calculated based on average gas prices in Metro Vancouver that month and the average fuel efficiency of our fleet, and is applied once the average gas price is $1.40/L. Our formula works out to approximately 1¢ for every 10¢ increase in the price of a litre of gas beyond $1.25. For example, when the average gas price is $1.50/L, the cost will be an additional 2.75¢ per km.
premium vehicles
Almost all of Modo's vehicles are the same low price — no matter where you are in the city or what type of car you need.
However, a few Premium vehicles, notably our full-size cargo vans, are simply more expensive to operate. Business members pay an extra $3 per hour when driving one of these Premium vehicles, plus an extra 20¢ on kilometres over 150km per day. This raises the daily cap to $81 weekdays and $99 weekends, and the daytime cap for not-for-profit orgs to $54.
perks
Modo business members have access to many perks including enrolment in TransLink's Employer Pass Program. This is a big benefit for smaller organizations that don't meet TransLink's 25-employee minimum.
