Klippers Organic Acres + #Modo8k
As a community organization, Modo works with a variety community partners to increase livability and quality of life in the city, as well as bring good cheer at events, like the Modo 8k.
For the run this Sunday, our friends at the Vancouver Farmers Markets have hooked us up with the oh-so-organic farmers at Klippers Organic Acres for a skookum deal on organic Spartan apples – 6 crates of them in fact! The apples were grown in Cawston, BC, which we’re told is the “Organic Capitol of Canada.”
(On the DL, Klippers is well known for offering some of the highest quality produce at the Winter and Trout Lake Farmers Markets. And they just launched microgreens at Winter Market at Nat Bailey Stadium last week!)
Modo charity partner Take a Hike will have students posted throughout the site handing out these free, delicious apples post-run, as part of the Modo Community Fair.
As you take an apple, take some time to chat with these amazing students to learn their stories of transformation through the power of community and adventure.
Much gratitude to Kevin and his family for supporting this worthy event!
