Using Modo to Connect with Communities!

“How Modo helps us serve our clients near and far.”
Over the past 4 years, our Metro Vancouver and Victoria teams at Urban Systems Ltd. have used Modo to help us reach our clients close to home and further afield in British Columbia. Whether it’s across Vancouver Island, or to more remote clients near Pemberton and even as far as Kamloops, our membership with Modo means we are able to reach all of our clients, no matter their geographical location.
We have the incredible privilege of helping to support a number of Indigenous communities across the province, many of whom are located in harder to reach places that are only accessible by car. For our teams, being able to quickly and easily book a Modo for community meetings, site visits and engagement events with Indigenous communities makes it possible to maintain a meaningful connection with our clients. Our ability to be present in-person is very important to us to build relationships, a keystone of our commitment to the communities we work with. Having a reliable means to do that no matter the destination can’t be undervalued.
Our membership to Modo also allows us to honor our commitment to supporting local organizations while also encouraging our consultants to reduce their footprint in the communities where we live, work and play. Having access to a community fleet of cars means not having to drive to the office any time there are offsite meetings and encourages many of us to choose more active ways to get to the office every day. Walk, bike or transit– Modo gives us the option without impacting our ability to serve our clients.
Sure, from time to time we use car rental services, but many of us prefer to use Modo because it’s more accessible and easier to use no matter where our trip starts. Using carshare makes so much sense in connecting us with the communities we serve, and we’re proud to be members in Vancouver, Victoria, Surrey and everywhere else Modo serves!
