#dinnerpartyYVR: Share a meal. Help a charity.
Last fall, Modo partnered with Social Bites and Chimp to help deliver #dinnerpartyYVR to Vancouver. And we’re ready for Round 2!
On April 5, hobby chefs, community partners and local businesses will team up again to support local charities through #dinnerpartyYVR, presented by Cressey.
#DINNERPARTYYVR: HOW IT WORKS
Hobby chefs open their homes to share their passion for food as well as their connection to a local charity of their choice. Diners sign up for the hobby chef of their choosing by making a donation to one of the selected charities through Chimp. After dinner, our stellar Team Modo volunteers will serve as Safe Rides to ferry diners to the official Cressey After-Party at Meccanica for dessert, drinks, mixing and mingling.
In addition to cash donations from ticket sales, charities will also receive a matching donation in carsharing credits from Modo! Last time, Modo donated more than $4,500 carsharing credits to 24 charities across the Lower Mainland, including A Loving Spoonful, VOKRA, Big Brothers & Sisters and Vancouver Rape Relief.
CALL-OUT FOR HOBBY CHEFS
Social Bites is currently seeking a few more hobby chefs to join their roster, so if you’re a foodie who loves to share, give Annika and her team a holler! Last year’s event raised over $4,500 and awareness for local charities, each thoughtfully selected by the hobby chefs themselves.
