Discontinuing the EPP: What’s next?

As we announced in July, to make way for its new Compass Card program, TransLink will be discontinuing its Employer Pass Program effective December 31, 2013. This will unfortunately affect many Modo members.

Our EPP coordinator, David (member #5!), has done a fantastic job these past years, managing the program for the thousands of members who accessed the discounted annual transit pass. Thanks for all your hard work, David – we appreciate you!

Just in case you missed the original posts and David’s communique regarding the end of the program, check out the EPP section of Translink’s website:

Effective December 31 2013, the Employer Pass Program (EPP) will be discontinued. As of August 7 2013, there will be no new enrollments to the program. This decision is part of a number of tariff changes being made which reflect the current financial environment. Please read TransLink’s Tariff Changes page for more information.

We recognize this will have an impact on the current program participants and we are hopeful we can continue to work together to help employers and their employees with transportation options in Metro Vancouver under the TravelSmart program.
