Join TEAM MODO for Bike to Work Week and Commuter Challenge
We did it! With another soggy winter behind us and longer days of mild temps and dreamy sunsets ahead, it’s time to get movin’! And we’re psyched to invite you to join TEAM MODO for two fun, prize-filled weeks of sustainable commuting!
MAY 27-JUNE 2: BIKE TO WORK WEEK
First up, the 2013 Spring edition of HUB’s biannual Bike To Work Week, May 27-June 2. Join TEAM MODO as we hop aboard our freshly tuned-up steads and log cycling trips throughout the week for a chance to win great prizes and again place first in our division for most cycling trips. Stop at a Commuter Station along the region’s 400+ kilometres of bike routes for refreshments, prizes and cool swag from cycle-happy local businesses. And don’t miss the big end-of-week party on Friday evening.
JUNE 2-8: COMMUTER CHALLENGE
Then, the following week, June 2-8, join TEAM MODO as we walk, cycle, transit, ride-share, carshare (or even work from home) as part of BC Commuter Challenge, presented by BEST (Better Environmentally Sound Transportation). A fun, free, friendly competition between individuals or workplaces, who log sustainable commutes online to be entered to win rad prizes. There’s no cost to register, and we know you’re already using sustainable transportation options, so there’s no reason not to participate!
As a national initiative to increase employee engagement and promote sustainability, the Commuter Challenge is a fantastic event for workplaces, individuals and members!
As Silver Sponsor of the BC Commuter Challenge, Modo invites all members and staff to join our team! All you have to register online via THIS LINK, and you’ll automatically be signed up under TEAM MODO! Don’t forget to log your commutes online! For more information check out the BC Commuter Challenge website, connect on Facebook and Twitter or email email@example.com.
