Who needs a Christmas Tree when they can have a Forever Tree…?
via Greenest City e-newsletter:
ADD TO THE URBAN FOREST WITH A LIVING TREE
If you’ve been looking for an excuse to get a holiday tree but are reluctant to get a cut tree, here’s how: Help grow our urban forest by picking up a live tree that is cute enough to be decorated for the holidays, but small enough to live on your balcony year-round.
Thanks toTreeKeepers, live holiday trees are available for $10-$20 at the following locations:
Kitsilano Community Centre on December 14 from 9am-11:30am
Yaletown Farmers Market on December 19 from 12pm-4pm
VanDusen’s Festival of Lights, nightly until December 31 from 4:30pm-9pm
Holiday Trees, a Greenest City Fund grant recipient, is helping to grow the urban forest in Vancouver. They support the Greenest City 2020 Action Plan Access to Nature goal of adding 150,000 trees to our city by 2020.
