Modo Ambassador: Nicole Grice

A pseudo Canuck since 2000, Nicola is a self confessed energizer bunny that has clocked many many miles with her feet. If she’s not running marathons/ultras then she’s hiking or out walking her Chihuahuas for long walks (because dogs do not belong in purses). If her feet are not on the ground then they’re up in the air or behind the wheel of a Modo as a result of her severe wanderlust and love of the outdoors.

How long have you been a Modo member for and what type of membership do you have?

I have been a Modo Plus member since 2008.

What made you want to join Modo?

Flexibility (all those vehicles!), Sustainability (by car sharing with other members but also driving friends around in one vehicle), Freedom to come & go (not to mention I can pick and choose a different car every booking)

How do you use Modo and what’s your go to vehicle?

Epic adventures: hiking, snowshoeing, tourism passport; Toyota Sienna “Tank”, Fiat 500 for about town or one of the winterized SUVs.

What was your most memorable Modo trip?

The annual “Whistler Trip” I do with my friends for my birthday (February). We spend 4-5 days making potluck meals, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, playing board games, midnight hikes and trying to walk two chihuahuas in the snow. Thanks to Modo we have never used more than two vehicles to drive up to 13 people up there.

In one word, what does Modo mean to you?

Adventure.
