Modo Community Fair at the Modo 8k, March 23
There’s plenty of options to enjoy yourself at this Sunday’s Modo Spring Run-Off, both on and off the course!
The Stanley Park Pavilion offers a great indoor space where runners (and their friends and fans) can warm up by the fire, grab a burger (bring cash – proceeds going to Take a Hike), or enjoy a refreshing beverage. PowerBar and Oasis Juice will even be handing out free samples.
Plus, we’re hosting the first-ever Modo Community Fair, with booths from Modo Community Partners, including:
- #Modo8k Photo Booth – grab your friends for the perfect race photo!
- Vancouver Farmers Market
- Maker Mobile, offering great educational kids’ activities for children ages 5 and up.
- Vancouver Tool Library
- Victory Gardens
- HUB: Your Cycling Connection
- Take a Hike Foundation
- and Modo too!
We’ll be offering a special promotion to Modo 8k runners to try out carsharing: 1-month free membership and $40 carsharing credit!
Our friends at the Vancouver Farmers Market have helped connect us with local organic apples, which Take a Hike students will be handing out for free at the event – thanks to Klippers Organics, one of the most sustainable farms in Canada (located in Cawston, BC, the “Organic Capitol of Canada”!).
There’ll also be a long table set up, so take advantage of the Stanley Park Pavilion Pub’s burger ’n beer special (with proceeds going to Take a Hike) and grab a seat alongside fellow race revelers, and make some new friends!
