Modo’s Insurance demystified!

Accidents happen, that’s why all our members get full collision and comprehensive coverage. Modo’s fleet is insured up to $5 million under a Third-Party Liability policy from ICBC. If a Modo is damaged during your booking, you pay up to $1,000, depending on the extent of the damage. (including damage to the tires.)

How can I avoid getting charged for any damage?

Avoid being charged (up to $1,000) by paying your invoice using a credit card with CLDI (Collision/Loss Damage Insurance) or joining our Damage Pool.

How can I join the Damage Pool?

Joining the Modo Damage Pool costs $50 per year (or per claim). This option reduces your cost to $0 if your Modo is damaged during your booking, including trucks and cargo vans.

Individual members choose their insurance options when signing up online and can enroll in the Damage Pool during sign up, or anytime after, through My Account under Damage Pool/Coverage. Click “Join the damage pool” to be added to the coverage.

I want to leave the Damage Pool, where can I change my setting?

If you are not interested in remaining in the Damage Pool and wish to cancel, please go to the My Account tab under Damage Pool/Coverage or call our team.

Who do I have to contact in case of an accident?

If you are involved in an accident during your booking, call us as soon as possible. You can also submit photos of any damage before or after your booking to
