2026 Board of Directors nominations are now open

Director of Product

Vancouver
,
permanent, full-time, hybrid

We have an opportunity for a Director of Product to join our Leadership Team.

Modo is evolving how we deliver shared mobility — from a legacy system to a product-led, member-focused experience. As our Director of Product, you will lead this shift.

Reporting to the CEO, this role owns the product vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring that we create real value for members and the co-op. You will work closely with Technology, Operations, and Marketing to translate strategy into focused, iterative delivery. You will lead a small, high-impact team and help build the product discipline, clarity, and momentum needed for Modo’s next phase.

This is a permanent, full-time position, based in Vancouver, BC, with a hybrid work environment. While we support working from home, we require our team to work a minimum of one day per week from our downtown office.

At Modo, we value curiosity, collaboration, and commitment to doing meaningful work, and we are excited to welcome someone who shares those values.

If this sounds like you, we want to hear from you!

Salary Range: $123,000 - $138,000 per year.

  • Deep expertise in product discovery, prioritization, and delivery.

About Modo

Illustration of two hearts
Modo is a co-op founded on social purpose: we transform communities by connecting people with places in a way that’s affordable, convenient, inclusive, and sustainable. Driven by people – not profit – Modo was the first carshare to open shop in BC back in 1997. Our promise is to offer an exceptional carsharing experience.

Modo is a leader in the ever-changing shared mobility space, and our brand is well-recognized and respected. Our employees share a passion for social impact; it’s what draws us together to do our best.

Modo operates on the unceded and shared territories of many First Nations. Unceded because most Indigenous Peoples in this province never entered into Treaty with the Canadian government and shared because Indigenous lands are not divided by borders. Our main office is located on the unceded and shared ancestral lands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.

We and our members live and work on these lands, and our cars move across them. We appreciate and respect the long-standing tradition of Indigenous Peoples in caring for the land. We recognize the harm caused to the environment – land, air, and water – through the use of vehicles and commit to reducing that harm as a core part of our Purpose.
