Can I add another person to my account?

Modo Plus (shareholding) members can add an Associate Member who lives in the same household, such as a partner, spouse, roommate, or family member, through a redeemable $250 share purchase.

Once added, the Associate Member will have their own account and can drive independently at Modo Plus rates. As part of a shared membership, the Principal Member and Associate Member are automatically included on each other's bookings, making it easier to share trips.

The Principal Member is liable for any debts not paid by the Associate Member and vice versa.

To apply for Associate Membership, both the Principal Member and the Associate Member must complete and sign separate agreement forms:

• Associate Member Agreement‍

Both completed agreements must be received before the Associate Member application can be processed.

How to log in on the Modo app?

To log in, you’ll need your username and password. Once logged in, the app will keep you logged in, so you won’t need to repeatedly re-enter your password every time you use it.

How can I keep track if my trips and expenses?

To track your trips and expenses, locate the “Trips” icon at the bottom of your screen and select the “History” tab. This will display all your past bookings along with their respective costs.

How can I pay my account balance?

Modo Plus members have the following payment options available:

A valid credit card linked to your account (preferred method)
Electronic bill payment (EBP) via your online banking profile.

Monthly and all other non-shareholding members are enrolled in Pay as you Drive and must have a valid credit card in their name set up on their account.

To process any payment, you can use the app by going into "Account" and "Make a payment".

Can I put my membership on hold?

While Modo does not offer a way to pause your membership, you can close your account and reopen at any time. Depending on how long it's been we might only need a current driving record. Just get in touch when you are ready. And hang on to your fob!

How do I close my Modo account?

Modo Plus and Associate: Log in to your account from a desktop computer and under Settings, click the Close Account tab and follow the instructions. Modo Plus shares are refunded within 90 days. We can refund these to a credit card or by a cheque and mail it to your address on file.

‍Monthly and all other non-shareholding accounts: Log in to your account and under Settings, click the Close Account tab and follow the instructions. Monthly admin fees are pro-rated for the month you close your account.
