What charger should I use on the Modo EVs?

Depending on the vehicle model, you may use a plug-in hybrid or non-Tesla fully-electric charger.

  • Level 3
    Called a Direct Current Fast Charger (DCFC), it’s also the fastest option. Charging times depend on several factors, such as the size of the car battery and the capabilities of the car. On average, it would take about an hour to charge from completely empty to 100%. EV etiquette is required at fast charging stations, and Emotive BC recommends limiting your charging time to 30 to 40 minutes to minimize the w­aiting time for others who need to charge.
  • Level 2
    These chargers are most often located at home, workplaces, malls and community centres—they usually charge 30-40km of range per hour.
  • Level 1
    It’s the slowest charge and typically recovers around 8km of range per hour.
