What's the Shared Charging Infrastructure Program?
Modo has always been about sharing – from cars to community values. Now, we’re taking it a step further with the Shared Charging Infrastructure Program (SCIP). As we accelerate towards a zero-emission fleet by 2030, SCIP brings a natural extension of our shared values to the charging station.
This initiative involves 15 electric vehicles (EVs) stationed at strategic locations between Vancouver and Victoria, and explores the potential of sharing a single charger among multiple EVs in our fleet.
When you book one of the SCIP EVs, you’re not just reserving a vehicle – you’re contributing to a community-driven approach to sustainable transportation.
Here’s how it works:
When you pick up your Modo at the home location, you may find it connected to a charger or parked on a dedicated Modo stall; either way, start your booking just as you’re used to.
When your trip is over, return your Modo to its home location and check the car battery level by reviewing the remaining kilometres on the dashboard.
- Less than 150 km? Use the reserved Modo stall charger for a seamless power-up.
- Above 150 km? Opt for the other designated Modo stall without a charger.
