Modo, TransLink, Mobi by Rogers, and Evo are teaming up to launch the RideLink Mobile App pilot —a convenient solution for all Metro Vancouver residents.

This innovative app integrates transit, carshare, and bikeshare, putting all your travel options in one place and allowing you to use your Compass Card for easy access to all services.
‍
The pilot program, running from February 2024 to the end of December 2025, invites you to test the app's functionality and user experience, shaping the future of transportation in your community.

How Modo works in RideLink

Immediate Access

Book your Modo in the RideLink App and keep an eye on your inbox for details about your Modo's home location.

Once you're set, open your car using your Compass Card, jump in and go—it's all yours for the next 12 hours.

Flexible Stops

You can make as many stopovers as you want during your 12-hour window.

Just remember to bring your Modo back to its cozy home before your time is up.

Easy Return

When you're done with your Modo, return it to its home location, lock the car using your Compass Card and tap "End ride" in the RideLink app.

You'll find the button on the main screen's Directions Tab.

How to register for the pilot

Check your eligibility

Ensure you meet the criteria for participation, including being 19 years of age or older, holding a valid BC driver's license , possessing a valid Visa or Mastercard credit card, and owning an iPhone or Android phone with internet access. See the full eligibility criteria

Take the survey

Complete our registration survey to determine your eligibility for the RideLink Mobile App pilot program. We're inviting participants from across Metro Vancouver to apply for this exciting opportunity.

Start testing

Selected participants will have the chance to test the RideLink Mobile App over a 12-month period and share their feedback.

Only selected participants will receive a confirmation message from ridelink@translink.ca through the email account you provide during the pilot signup process.
